Marsh out sick as Head captains Australia in second T20
Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of the remaining T20 matches against India with a hip injury, with Travis Head to captain Australia in his absence.
Marsh has been struggling with the injury for the past few weeks and aggravated it during Australia's win in the first T20 in Mohali.
The all-rounder will now return to Australia for further assessment and could be in doubt for the upcoming ODI series against India.
Head has captained Australia in T20 cricket before, leading the side to a 2-1 series win in the West Indies last year.
The 28-year-old is a versatile batsman who can also bowl leg-spin, and will be looking to make a statement in his first match as full-time captain.
Australia will be hoping to level the series against India in the second T20 in Nagpur on Friday.
Marsh's absence is a blow to Australia's hopes of winning the series, but Head is a capable replacement.
The South Australian has been in good form with the bat of late, and will be confident of leading Australia to victory.
India will be looking to take a 2-0 lead in the series when the two sides meet in Nagpur.
The hosts will be confident of victory after their comfortable win in the first T20, but Australia will be determined to level the series and keep their hopes of winning alive.
