Rublev was dominant from the start, breaking Fritz's serve in the opening game of the match. He continued to put pressure on Fritz throughout the first set, eventually breaking the American's serve again to take the set 6-4.
The second set was more of the same, with Rublev breaking Fritz's serve early on and never looking back. He cruised to a 6-3 victory, securing his spot in the final.
Rublev will face either Stefanos Tsitsipas or Alexander Zverev in the final. Tsitsipas and Zverev are scheduled to play their semifinal match on Saturday.
